UCD Graduate Certificate in Palliative Medicine now open for applications

UCD School of Medicine & Medical Science

Applications are currently being accepted by UCD school of Medicine & Medical Science for the September intake on their Graduate Certificate in Palliative Medicine. The programme is a collaboration between UCD,  the Dublin Academic Medical Center and St Francis Hospice. 

Course aim

This one year course is aimed at General Practitioners and hospital clinicians and provides participants with the knowledge and skills to adopt a palliative approach in different care settings.

Design & Delivery

The course comprises 4 modules run over two semesters with 50% of the teaching being delivered online.  Face to face teaching sessions are delivered in The Mater Hospital education center and in St Francis Hospice.  

This course is approved by ICGP for CPD and GMS study leave.

Msc in Bereavement studies – Application deadline

The Irish Hospice Foundation/RCSI Msc in Bereavement Studies is currently open for applications.

The Msc course addresses the impact of bereavement and loss on human development and society. It is aimed at  health, education and social care professionals whose work involves the provision of bereavement support or exposes them to a significant level of loss.
