St Christopher’s Hospice London will host an introductory workshop on the practice of mindfulness and its application to bereaved in November.
The workshop is facilitated by Ursula Bates and Susan O Flanaghan and presents findings from their research on a mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) group project with people presenting with complicated grief reactions.
Their research conducted in Blackrock Hospice through 2011 and 2012 investigated the benefits of mindfulness on bereaved people experiencing complicated grief reactions six months or more after bereavement.
Susan O Flanaghan was awarded the Irish Hospice Foundation, Thérèse Brady Scholarship for her studies on mindfulness based interventions for people with complicated grief.
The workshop will take place on November 14th and additional details, including booking information are available HERE
